Disable Receipt Printing

To disable receipt printing, you will need to have POSitive set as the default Launcher App. 

You can find out if POSitive is the default Launcher App by following these steps:

  1. Tap the 3 line menu button in the top left of the Genie screen.
  2. Look for an ‘Exit App’ button
  3. If it's not there, the Merchant Genie app is the current launcher.

In this case, contact your Payments Provider, who will be able to remotely push the change to your terminal via WiFi.

If Merchant Genie is NOT the launcher, but it's currently open on the device, follow these steps:

  1. In Merchant Genie, tap the 3 lines at the top left
  2. Tap Exit App
  3. Open POSitive
  4. Login using User ID and Password
  5. Tap the 3 lines at the top right
  6. Tap App Settings
  7. You will then be able to disable the following options:
  • Print: To Screen
  • Print: Merchant Receipt
  • Print: Customer Receipt
  • Print: Contactless
  • Print Reports Receipts.
